About ClimateSmartCommunities

Climate Smart Communities (CSC) is a partnership between New York State and local communities. Its goal is to lower greenhouse gases and save taxpayer dollars through climate smart actions that also promote community health and safety, affordability, economic strength and quality of life. The Climate Smart Communities e-mail list is for municipal officials, energy/climate change coordinators and task force members as well as interested members of the community. As a subscriber to this list, you will only receive e-mail from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Office of Climate Change (approximately 1-2 times per week) on upcoming grant opportunities, webinars, and technical and educational information in support of the CSC program.

You will only receive information from NYSDEC. Your email address will NOT be shared with anyone outside of NYSDEC because we respect your privacy and the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) provides an exception for protection of personal information.
