About Conservationist_for_Kids

Conservationist for Kids magazine is produced three times each year (fall, winter and spring) by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and is distributed to all public school 4th grade classes across New York State. Mailings to teachers include a class set of 30 copies of the magazine plus a one-page teacher supplement. Conservationist for Kids is also available as an insert in Conservationist magazine three times each year.

Members of our e-mail list receive messages from the editor of Conservationist for Kids about the magazine, plus supplementary materials for educators using the magazine in classrooms and non-traditional settings. In addition, list members receive notification about resources and training opportunities for connecting today's youth to the outdoors and to environmental issues.

You will only receive information from NYSDEC. Your email address will NOT be shared with anyone outside of NYSDEC because we respect your privacy and the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) provides an exception for protection of personal information.
