The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is committed to connecting New Yorkers to nature by sharing information on where you can find wildlife. In the city, country, or the suburbs, it's easy to spot wildlife if you know where to look. Let us help you find your favorite wildlife. As a member of this list, you will receive information on free Watchable Wildlife events, new sites added and wildlife to see in New York State.

You will only receive information from NYSDEC. Your email address will NOT be shared with anyone outside of NYSDEC because we respect your privacy and the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) provides an exception for protection of personal information.

Subscribing to NYWatchableWildlife

Subscribe to NYWatchableWildlife by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.
