One hundred and one women participated in the workshop. Whether you are one of those women, someone who has attended a BOW workshop in the past or perhaps new to the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program, I want to let you know about two upcoming Beyond BOW workshop in the Adirondacks. Beyond BOW workshops allow you to learn outdoor skills in more depth than at a BOW workshop. Attendance at a BOW workshop is not a prerequisite, but you should read the descriptions thoroughly as you may need certain equipment, licenses or fitness level to participate in a Beyond BOW. On October 17-19 you can choose to do some guided Adirondack hiking during peak fall foliage or take part in an interpretive canoe or kayak trip in the St. Regis watershed. On October 24-26 you can learn all about deer hunting and actually go on a guided hunt for an Adirondack whitetail deer. More details about these events, including how to register for them, are on the attached flier. In order to open the attached you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader.
