January is "Learn a snow sport month" and several parks and outdoor centers in NY are hosting free learn to snowshoe days. These are family friendly events. Some really cool trips are being offered. If you have questions or want to sign up for any of these trips please contact Peggy directly or check out their web site. Greetings BOW friends, fans and supporters: Here are a couple things you might want to put on your last-minute holiday wish-list: How about a trip to the mountains? We are now accepting registrations for The BOW Destination Wyoming Wilderness adventure, July 19-23, 2010. The trip features horse packing and fishing in the beautiful Absaroki Mountains. Visit our website at www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow to see a complete trip description and registration information. Want a mountain and horse adventure that?s a little less rugged? We?re offering a 7-day trip to the Bob Marshall Wilderness area of Montana, with 4-days and 3-nights of riding and camping, June 23-29, 2010. Participants will also learn about Montana ecology and bear safety while staying at the beautiful Teddy Roosevelt Memorial Ranch on the Rocky Mountain Front. Registration will open soon.
