Subject: [Becominganoutdoorswoman] Volunteers Needed To Improve Web Site

If you live in the Albany area, or have an interest in web site design
and function, please read the message below.  It is very frustrating
when you can't find what you are looking for on a web site. To improve
the function of the DEC web site, including the Becoming an
Outdoors-Woman pages, we are looking for volunteers to come into the
Albany DEC office to help test the web site.

Hello - 

As you may know, a new design for DEC?s website was unveiled during
the Spring of 2007. Staff continue to work on making improvements to the
website and as part of that effort, we will be conducting website
usability testing. The testing will involve simple web exercises, trying
to find some specific information on the website. Participants will also
be asked to answer several questions and provide some feedback.

With this email, DEC's web staff are making an effort to reach out to
the various users of DEC?s website to invite them into DEC
headquarters in Albany to test the site. We will be conducting the
testing throughout the month of January, therefore if any of you are in
the area and would be willing to come in for an hour or so to
participate in our testing, we would be very grateful. Unfortunately,
with budget restrictions in place right now we cannot offer paid
compensation to our testing participants.
