The last set of envelopes went into the mail on November 12. I have attached a "turkey scavenger hunt" created by a teacher at Hackett Middle School in Albany for use with her students. When she shared it with me I thought others might like to make to use of it, too. I hope to have this posted to the Conservationist for Kids section of the DEC web site soon, but it's not there yet. In addition to the scavenger hunt, I have attached a brochure and poster about wild turkeys in New York State. The scavenger hunt questions on page four use the brochure as the information source, rather than the magazine. Enjoy! This 38-minute DVD, produced by WPBS-TV, will help students, teachers, and parents understand where New York gets its energy from and how to use it more efficiently.
