Message-ID: <49F7263E.26A6.0088.3@gw.dec.state.ny.us> Rogers Environmental Education Center*s Annual Earth Fest 2009 This Saturday, May 2 from noon to 4:00 PM, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation*s Rogers Environmental Education Center will host a combined Earth Day, Arbor Day and May Day celebration. Co-hosts for this free event are the Chenango Co. Environmental Management Council and Friends of Rogers, Inc. Participants will enjoy the Compost Theater*s funny recycling and composting skits. Participants may try guided canoe and kayak forays in the Cunningham Ice Pond and receive native tree and shrub seedlings. Exhibitors of green technology and products will share their expertise. Children*s games and activities will include a green-living scavenger hunt. Refreshments and food will feature a green cooking demonstration with samples and recipes.
