It would be helpful to the authors of the manual to have copies of actual electric and natural gas bills that water and wastewater treatment plant owners and operators receive from their utility suppliers. The bills will be used only for reference and will not be reproduced in the manual. Specific information that will be of value includes: 1. For plants in a deregulated state, a copy of both the energy and transportation bills. 2. The part of the bill showing how the bills are computed, including consumption quantity and charge, demand quantity and charge, other charges on the bill such as power factor penalties, and rates that vary based upon time of use and the amount of energy used. 3. Information about the rate structure (usually listed on the electric bill). 4. For plants with two electric services, a copy of each bill. 5. For plants with two electric suppliers, a copy of both bills. 6. For plants with electric rates that vary seasonally (winter/summer), a copy of the bill from each season. 7. Plants that use standby electric generators to allow the power company to curtail energy supply, thereby obtaining lower rates. Please forward this message to any plant owners or operators that may be of assistance in this matter. Instead you will receive a new certificate (blue card). Please remember that renewal of your new blue card must be done in the five year period prior to the expiration date on the blue card. For example, if the expiration date is 01/01/2014, the renewal training must be completed in the following time period - 01/01/2009 to 01/01/2014. A reminder is printed on your new blue card. The wall document you receive when you are first certified is not re-issued at renewal.
